Do you remember when the Reich-wing went bat-shit crazy....

Remember this?

July 19, 2018

"The benefits under the new "Forever GI Bill" will be ready to go into effect Aug. 1, with the exception of a few IT glitches on housing allowances, Department of Veterans Affairs officials said."

Isn't that nice? So. How's it goin'?

15 Nov 2018

"The problems began this summer when VA’s benefit-processing system buckled ....scores of veterans (have) waited weeks or months to be paid, and have fallen victim to the agency’s decades-old technology that advocates and lawmakers have warned for months would do precisely what it did - fail. ...some veterans are still struggling to overcome financial straits after they took out loans or put expenses on credit cards."

And...

Paul R. Lawrence, VA’s top benefits official, told lawmakers it was a “mistake” to provide earlier estimates for completing the fixes and said that VA would not provide another timetable for when its technology issues would be resolved."

“We’ve spent all this money and time and we can’t get a paycheck out! - Rep. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.) chairman, House Committee on Veterans Affairs.

A "mistake" to provide a date for fixes. For "hundreds of thousands" of veterans. And the Trump administration weasels would not provide a timetable when its issues would be resolved?

So let's fire up the "Way-back machine"!! To October of 2013. Let's see if you remember this:

Do you remember when the Reich-wing went bat-shit crazy in October of 2013 when there were problems with the computer systems set up to enroll people into Obamacare...? When the Reich went insane because the program they repeatedly tried to kill - wasn't up and running like Amazon's website, as if that was in any way comparable? When they were trying to enroll, not "hundreds of thousands" of people, but 7-million people in brand new insurance exchanges, and millions more in Medicaid, by the end of March 2014? When Sen. Pat Roberts and other Republicans said Kathleen Sebelius should resign?

Current Republican/Fox 24x7 screaming over this fiasco: <Sound of crickets...>

UPDATE:

Wednesday: " (Trump's Veteran's Administration) told congressional staffers that it would not reimburse those veterans who were paid less than they were owed."

Nice. "Support our Troops!!!!!"

By now the republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief and his republican cronies have established a despicable pattern of pissing upon America's veterans, gold star families, POWs, and Admirals.

Despicable. Shame on republicans and their disrespect for America's military, while they stuff their pockets with unclean money from the freaking russian mob. Deplorable.
