2006 at Biddeford Pool, Me. The SS would not let us leave until Fidelity II left the harbor. But we were able to meet HW directly. So, I said, why aren't we making an effort to wean ourselves off ME oil? He said, there is no money in that idea. No money for him is what I got from that. Fuck Him.

(28,893 posts)Not directly, he was holding court with a bunch of sycophants at the bar and accidentally dumped a beer on me (I was sittig at the bar and he was behind me) . I took serious umbrage, but my friends reminded me that I was only 17 and was drinking underage....so I didn't make a scene. He was quite the dilettante as far as I can remember. Never should have been POTUS 43.
