I still maintain that he’s trump’s idea of Central Casting’s artificial VP model. I think trump picked him as a subtle tip-of-the-hat to his racist fans who hated that there was a black guy in the Oval Office and he wasn’t the janitor. So to appease them, and reassure them that they wouldn’t have to deal with that affront anymore, he offered them a running mate who’s literally the WHITEST white guy on earth.
