1. This is so sad. But something still doesn't sound right. 9-yr old know how to hang herself?

It's not an easy job to hang yourself when you are a short kid.

5. School says no reports of bullying of McKenzie Adams of Linden

No reports of bullying at school were found in connection with a 9-year-old girl who committed suicide Dec. 3, according to Demopolis City Schools.

The family of McKenzie Adams, a student at U.S. Jones Elementary School since 2015, has said that bullying led her to commit suicide.

In an emailed statement sent Tuesday by Alex Braswell, attorney for the Demopolis City Board of Education, the school system conducted an internal investigation into the family’s claims.

“We have concluded our internal investigation to the allegations of bullying which led to this senseless death. There have been no findings of any reports of bullying by either the student or family. The findings of this internal investigation are consistent with the results of the investigation of the Linden (Alabama) Police Department at this point in time,” according to the statement.

I dont understand how a young child can commit suicide. Where were the school officials and her teachers when this bullying and hate was going on?

As per WaPo: Other students may be able to shed light on the situation, Police Chief Alston said, but the police investigation was made more difficult by the young age of McKenzie and her classmates. “There’s resistance from parents who don’t want to get their kids caught up in this," he said, calling the events “tragic.”

Harris told the Tuscaloosa News that her niece had been forced to transfer out of a previous school because of bullying, which prompted her mother and grandmother to complain to the Alabama State Board of Education.

Timothy Thurman, the superintendent of the Linden City School District, told NBC News that Adams had been enrolled in kindergarten at Linden Elementary School for only 22 days, and had left for unknown reasons.

The neighboring Pine Hill Police Department mourned the 9-year-old’s death in a Facebook post, saying Adams was a “VICTIM of BULLYING."
And that to me is the more likely narrative. This is not over yet and may never be settled but smells like a cover-up to me.

And parents dont want their children involved. If it took place on school grounds there must be some teachers and or officials who were aware of it.
