Chocolate meltdown closes German road

OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!! NOOOOO!!!!!

The road was closed in the western town of Westönnen late on Monday after a tank of chocolate in a factory spilled and poured into the street.

The chocolate quickly solidified. About 10 sq m (108 sq ft) was cleared by 25 firefighters using shovels, hot water and blowtorches.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Molasses_Flood

The Great Molasses Flood, also known as the Boston Molasses Disaster or the Great Boston Molasses Flood, occurred on January 15, 1919 in the North End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A large molasses storage tank burst and a wave of molasses rushed through the streets at an estimated 35 mph (56 km/h), killing 21 and injuring 150. The event entered local folklore and for decades afterwards residents claimed that on hot summer days the area still smelled of molasses.

I've learned that names that contain an accent, for example, won't work in the subject line here. They'll show up in the text of the post, but in the subject line the accented letter is left out.

Hold down the ALT key and type 0246 on the numeric keypad. ö

On the Start menu, Windows Accessories, Character Map is a utility to see the available characters and find the Alt code. You can copy and paste from there as well.

On March 18, 1965 Gene Sesky of Scranton lost control of the truck he was driving, hauling 30,000 pounds of bananas, barreling down Moosic Street toward central Scranton, unable to stop ...

"He chose not to jump out of that truck. And he was on the fuel tank of the truck with the door open, blowing the air horn, steering the truck with the other hand, yelling for people to get out of the way" ...

Witnesses said Sesky hit speeds of more than 100 miles per hour before he crashed at the corner of South Irving Avenue and Moosic Street. He was killed instantly ...
