I propose all left leaning commentators start referring to Republicans as Repubs. Just to counter all of the other side's use of Democrat instead of Democratic. A small point that drives me crazy!

10. It's the "normalization" of petty rudeness

This comes from the Newt G era (Frank Luntz)..

It seems petty, but it's a blatant insult..

Imagine your name is William, and you loathe being called "Willie".. Most people call you William or Bill (which is acceptable to you)..

Someone who does not like you, but who happens to know more people in your workplace/social circle/school, starts calling you Willie,,,and encourages others to do so as well.. If you protest vehemently, YOU are the "touchy" one.. If you say nothing, it may seem to the others that it's okay to call you Willie.. A conundrum..

Media has been told/warned about the "democrat" thing for decades now, and they seem unable/uninterested in doing anything about it..

I have always hoped that some clever newsperson/pundit would deliberately mispronounce the name of the town./state of the transgressor and when they complain, could remind them that turnabout is fairplay..... Example:

Whenever someone says "Nev-aah-da" they are immediately pounced on and chided for the mispronunciation..
