You got every advantage the system had to offer, and you were unsuccessful in pulling the ladder up after you. What happened? You had every opportunity the last two years to govern as you pleased. What "political reality" got in the way of your lifelong credo of "More for me and fuck you"?

Maybe you just weren't a very good politician and a failure who would be a deep disappointment to the Empress Ayn.

Paul Ryan bemoans "broken politics" in farewell address

House Speaker Paul Ryan bemoaned America's "broken politics" in a farewell speech Wednesday and called Washington's failure to overhaul costly federal benefit programs "our greatest unfinished business."

The only unfinished business I can think of is running the entire Republican Party out of Washington DC and every state office.

Their only "solution" is- and has always been- to cripple and legislate those programs (and other government programs) out of existence, not actually make them balanced and sustainable. We have plenty of money and/or ways to legitimately improve programs but the people in charge lack the necessary priorities and desire to use the necessary resources to do it.

Wed Dec 19, 2018, 05:32 PM
Dec 2018

What a f*cking as*hole. Ryan says, "My biggest disappointment was NOT taking away everything the elderly have earned and were/are severely taxed for. Because allowing a someone to have what they earned is just so anti-democratic."

Right now the number of people filing for bankruptcy at the fine old age of over 59 has skyrocketed by over 200%. Thanks in large part to the crappy things Raygun and Greenspan did to our Social Security and of course all the crappy little things the RepubliCONS have done throughout the years. Greenspan and the dolt President Raygun moved the retirement age up so that for those at the end of the baby boom (after having paid for their parents retirement as early as 62) must wait until 66.6 years of age to get it. Then it gets taxed as income (say, when is the rich man going to pay taxes for those stocks he owns?) And they have to pay a co-payment and 20% of all costs for Medicare on an out of control medical system.

Welcome to the end of your life thanks to idiots and liars like Ryan you'll be lucky to have a roof over your head and be able to eat. Never mind trying to get medical attention the monster costs that the RepubliCONS have burden the elderly with (20% of $200,000 is still going to bankrupt you) means you get to chose between your medicine or food.

Thank God Ryan and the Koch brothers didn't get to take it all away....after we already paid for it.
