Gatwick to remain closed for the rest of Thursday, and Friday's situation is "fluid"

New drone sighting 'in last hour'
There has been another drone sighting in the last hour and Gatwick airport will remain closed for the rest of the evening, Gatwick chief operating officer Chris Woodroofe has said.

"We will review overnight whether there is any potential to open tomorrow," he said.

He said passengers should check with their airlines and not travel to the airport tomorrow unless advised to do so.

Jamming devices

Predator drones and trained Predator birds to take them out.

Electronic localization of drone transmitters.

If they don't - this kind of shit will occur every day.

I confess I'm no expert, but it is incredible to me that UK police, UK military, UK intelligence, UK aviation authorities etc etc etc cannot figure out something to stop this or at least figure out the source and stop them.
