Trump's wall is pretty much useless. I have a 20' ladder and with it I could go over any of the "walls" at the border I have seen on the television, and rope down the other side.

Nowadays they make cordless angle grinders. Lighter than even a fiberglass ladder and much, much more compact.

If you've got vertical steel slats, most of the hole has been made by the people who built the wall before you've even started cutting. Just zip through a couple of slats, low and high, and you've got a human sized hole. In a minute or two. And it's expensive and time-consuming to fix.

And that would just be for the bigger adults. With a couple dozen good, strong magnet, you can even stack ladders up if the wall is taller than the ladders you have on you.

Of course, that design doesn't require significantly deep foundations, so tunneling under is even easier than with a more solid design. One doesn't have to be concerned about digging deeper for easier to traverse 6' high tunnels - probably only 15 meters instead of 50 - based on the load-bearing restrictions of the soil around the wall.

With anywhere between a 5" - 10" gap between slats (so the BP can see - and shoot - through the wall?), small packages and possibly children/smaller adults can get through fairly easily.

Anyway, a majority of undocumented people in this country came over on valid visas and overstayed or disappeared into established communities of their particular culture once they got here.
Over the years, I've know a more than a few undocumented Isrealis, Scots, Irish, Spaniards, and Poles and Russians who are living with documented family members - or married to U.S. citizens - and getting around working under the table, as it were.
Documented Spouse files taxes as "Head of Household" or "Married filing Separate" and the government pretty much turns a blind eye - doesn't even check on the undocumented spouse so long as s/he's not considered a "dependent" for tax purposes and everything else is in order.

As long as there's no official tax record and they keep their noses clean, no one seems to notice and the government doesn't care. Because they're European, stay with "their people", and can pass as "Normal" so long as they can present a charming façade in public.
