What Will History Books Say About 2018?How will history remember this wild year? Which events were significant and which were distractions? POLITICO Magazine asked the smartest historians we know to put all that happened over the past 12 months in its proper historical context—by literally writing the paragraph that history books of the future will include about 2018. Here’s what they had to say:
The year of distraction The end of American exceptionalism When we saw the fault lines after the earthquake The decline of America’s dominance A Manichean year of rage and violence The fight between authoritarianism and democracy The year of cruelty Liberal democracy vs. Trumpism [link:https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/12/28/what-will-history-books-say-about-2018-223561| Add to the list?????

3. For some unexplained reason...
The Legislature of the government sat back and did nothing as our government was demolished?

5. They will wonder
how we let this happen. They will shake their heads at our stupidity and our lack of courage to stand up to the Idiot. If they suffer for our inability to rid ourselves of the Trump pestilence, we will always be viewed as the enablers of a Malignant/Malevolent Grifter.

7. Actually, we won't know for a while.
Writing history happens some time after the history was made, and depends on the outcomes of what happened in a certain period.
