BTRTN: The Turning of the Screwed

Born To Run The Numbers: The only people who ever believed Trump's lies were Republicans. Now, the mounting evidence that they are pissed.

http://www.borntorunthenumbers.com/2018/12/btrtn-turning-of-screwed.html

Excerpts: "It was all so much fun for the right wingers when the only consequence of Donald Trump’s lies was the sight of the liberal media going into pulmonary shock on a daily basis, agog with outrage at Trump’s projectile bullshitting. Slowly, however – but surely -- things are changing. It is now becoming more apparent that Trump’s deceits have all been improvised explosive devices set on timers designed to detonate in the hands of Republicans. It is the Trump worshipers, lackeys, apologizers, enablers, and suck-ups -- from Ann Coulter to Rush Limbaugh to Mitch McConnell -- who are getting toasted by the time-bombs they were eagerly carrying for the President.

Democrats may be angry, but they do not feel victimized by Trump’s deceit, because they were not naive, ignorant, cavalier, or willfully gullible enough to buy into any of it in the first place. But the people who believed it? They are starting to get pissed. They are beginning to feel victimized, let down, and manipulated. They are starting to voice their anger, disappointment, and sense of betrayal. Call it the turning of the screwed."

...giving us Trump out of spitefulness hasn’t worked out all that well. We could have had a gigantic infrastructure program with good paying jobs for everyone. Instead, we’ve had a government shutdown at Christmas and the environment seriously compromised & intentionally poisoned, just to name a couple of things.

Written from the perspective of rational thought and lesson learning on the part of R's or the base.

Some things have been made all to clear to me over the last 3 years:

They do not care, rational thought and facts are secondary, and when all of this comes crumbling down, they will righteously blame the Democratic house. And those written about here as somehow now remorseful, will go right along with it and most will believe it.

The good news is that they are not a majority. But now for the bad news, they vote.

I haven’t heard any top repukes stating that they feel betrayed.

Who has expressed anything like betrayal or victimization?

Who is toasting Anne Coulter or Bitch McConnel? Only the usual from forever.

I would like more insight into “the mounting evidence that ‘anyone’ is pissed.

I would enjoy it very much. I just haven’t seen any evidence that Pukes feel anything decent.

In the past month, we've seen everyone from Ann Coulter to Rush Limbaugh to Fox & Friends torch Trump about the Wall. Trump's base may ignore everybody else, but they get their news and opinions from Trump, Fox, and the Conservative media world.
We've seen leading senators condemn the President on the Syria pullout and the Mattis resignation. The Republican party is totally bifurcated on this issue. Some follow Trump's "go it alone" posture, but many conservatives are very staunch about the role of the US military in the Mideast.
We've seen Wall Street run for the exits.
No one is say that we've seen a wholesale change of view. The article is just saying that many Republican and Conservative leaders have suddenly become vocal where they had very recently been terrified into silence.

Repeatedly Republicans are said to be pissed.

Speaking our against Kashogi etc

Who are “they”? Ones retiring?

Who by name has spoken out?

Lindsay Graham’s half hearted bullshit that I certainly wouldn’t call “pissed”.

I would like the names of any Repuke that has been pissed?

McCaskill says off record “ they” are.

Not trying to be argumentative. To be more informed; because, I really think I missed some good stuff to know if there are pissed Repukes, publicly expressing their ire.

That is indisputable. Whether they abandon him at some point -- e.g., after the Mueller report is out -- remains to be seen.

The names of three Republicans that aren’t retiring, that have grumbled about Dump and what is the specific topic of the grumble.

I would seriously be hopeful if I knew.
