16. Beautiful! I can't wait to see these in the spring!

I grow bloodroot in the garden where I work. It is so delicate and pretty.

The Southeast has a wealth of native woodland plants. I love going on spring woodland walks. Many of the plants flower for such a brief time, so one must go out into the woods weekly in order to see everything!

Happy New Year! 🎆

34. Happy New Year 2019, a better year. Love the Bloodroot, reminder

of woodland flowers we'd find in central Appalch. as kids-- trillium, jack in the pulpit, mayflowers and occasionally delicate ladyslipper orchids. Real treasures.

Best happy new year wishes to all DUers in their personal lives and to our poor, justice-forsaken country and planet... let this be a year of recovery!

Thanks for posting this, Botany, big happy new year to you!
