He's Christian.

No true Scotsman or appeal to purity is an informal fallacy in which one attempts to protect a universal generalization from counterexamples by changing the definition in an ad hoc fashion to exclude the counterexample.

i see your point, and certainly, they call themselves christians.

but this isn't an ad hoc exclusion; it's more of a fundamental schism, dividing christians who try to live their lives as jesus would or as jesus would want them to vs. christians who prefer to live their lives as lucifer would but to claim worship of jesus and use it to justify their evil deeds.

one can imagine a time when the church might split along such lines, perhaps leaving christians and paulists; whereas one can't easily imagine a time when scotland will split over who puts sugar in their porridge....

The way I read the NT is that Jesus disliked hypocrites most of all.

Interesting the name Falwell, does it mean those with that name fall well?

In the first Avengers movie, Hawkeye and Black Widow are just starting the final battle with the alien invaders. They have a little patch of land in Manhattan they're defending. As they start shooting aliens, Black Widow yells over to Hawkeye, "This is like Budapest all over again!" Hawkeye replies, "You and I remember Budapest very differently."

Jerry Falwell Jr. and I read the Bible very differently.
