BIG DAY FOR US ALL!

Parity and good governance are in the House!

102 women from 46 states
-- two Native American
-- two Muslim
-- four Latinas(I think);
-- mostly lawyers sprinkled by Harvard, Georgetown degrees;
-- mostly masters degrees;
-- military officers, combat vets (one helicopter pilot)
-- engineers
-- executives.

All of America should be extremely proud.

La lucha continua.

Besides using a flattering color, she might use it as a symbolic visual message that this group isn't attached to shallow divisions like color; it could be a signal call to those Republicans who can look to her to make deals and develop bipartisan legislation "credit" together because of shared interests.

Red shows passion and courage and power. Let the women wear red! Do NOT let the GOP co-opt a color along with the other stuff they've co-opted over the years, such as patriotism.

Whenever you find yourself having a bad reaction to red, make yourself think of Rudolf’s nose, Santa’s suit, passionate love, Valentines’s Day, Christmas, strawberries, sexy lipstick, sunsets and the Chinese color associated with good luck.

If you want the world to pay attention you can just wear red.

Fuck the Republicans! We can’t allow them to own red. Swamps don’t have red. They have shit brown and slime green.

I remember that chant echoing through the zocolo in San Cristobal in 2001 when the Zapatistas began their march to Mexico City. Absolutely thrilling.

Keep at it until the House and the Senate have the same percentage of women as the general population.

This one point alone could be a major issue in any upcoming immigration debate.

This grifter is a child of an illegal immigrant, hater of children of illegal immigrants, trying to slam the door on his own past.

Might have something to do with all the young girls I've seen today during the speaker vote who were so excited whenever Pelosi's name was called.
