(145 posts)Too bad for the employees, but Mexico may be so full of us companies soon, they may be building a wall to keep us out.

(6,228 posts)You wanted him because he was going to do tariffs and trade wars. Hang in it will work out for your company. Or not.

(8,908 posts)because if he did then he is pathetically stupid. It makes zero sense for someone whose business depends on imported components to vote for someone who says he is going to enact tariffs.
Buckeyeblue
(5,499 posts)He provided no specifics on how he was going to "make America great again." He knows nothing about the economy. He knows nothing about manufacturing. Really, he knows nothing.
And now his voters are starting to feel the sting. I for one, try not to wish ill will on anyone, but another part of me wants to say, you get what you voted for.

(128,455 posts)No douchebag, your company is being harmed by one person IN government that people like YOU pounded their fists in the air to support while chanting "Lock her up!", and elected to office.... We're not talking some generic "government" itself.

(2,768 posts)How can you run a business and vote for somebody so woefully inadequate as trump? Trump started his life on 3rd base with a passed ball and somehow he always manages to get caught in a run down anyway.
63 million people have rendered themselves too damn stupid for reality. Now, begins their winter of discontent and their cries and lamentations will become the lead story as the day to day economy of living beats their asses a little bit harder.
Forgive me if I have no empathy for these people because I know for a fact that if they were willing to vote for trump. They are willing to vote for other complete idiots to ruin this country as long as they blame the brown people for everything.

"Profits cut in half".
What he really means is that it's cut MY income in half so, in response, I'm going to move MY factory to Mexico to recoup my personal profitability. The fact that I f'ck the workers in MY plant who have faithfully helped up $$$ in my pocket for ages...hey...chit happens.
Yeah - I won't be the icon of the community anymore...might even have to move to someplace where they don't know me or my business but once we're set up in Mexico, I'll be back in the green and I'll get used to my new neighborhood.
F'ck them. He knows what he voted for and he's having a sad that he's got to screw some folks to make his money. And you know, in the end, since he was willing to vote for Trump, you know he's going to screw the workers. because that's what these guys wake up to do.
TexasBushwhacker
(20,142 posts)if his profits are being cut in half by a 25% tariff. Materials are only part of the overall cost of running a business. Of course he could raise the price of his items a little. I imagine his competotors are all dealing with the same tariffs.

Notice how he said his company was "harmed by the government.." - as if the policies were
directed by some nameless bureaucrat. Fuck this guy.
