Are there any political commentators left without their heads up their asses? I am so sick of hearing this simple-minded drivel about how BOTH sides need to compromise in order for the government to open!
This goddam wall is the stupidest effing idea ever publicly discussed by any administration. "Ludicrous" isn't really a strong enough word to convey the clanging, jaw-dropping, "you've GOT to be shitting me" ignorance on display. And, because this orange shart cannon threw promises to "build the wall" to crowds of his tattooed spittle-flecked worshippers like red meat to a dog pack, he now has himself painted into a corner and is being told by his clown posse --- AND some supposedly intelligent pundits--- that declaring a national emergency is his "only way out" in order to end his Christmas shutdown and build his embarrassingly unnecessary wall.
Refusing to be blackmailed into letting a maniac flush 5 billion dollars down his gold-plated commode is the responsible and moral alternative to the craven "compromises" now being blithely discussed by people who are paid to educate and inform the public about their government. This is nearly as egregious as the fact that they have allowed Mitch McConnell to do his Claude Raines impression every day since Trump flip-flopped on the budget proposal.
Maybe if we had a little less giggling, comedy skits, hip-hop and utter bullshit on our "news" programs, we could focus on kicking ass and taking names.
That's all I got.

(15,124 posts)opinion that if Trump can be criticized for shutting down the government because he didn't get his wall, the Democrats can be just as validly criticized for refusing to build the wall and "causing" the shutdown.

(16,371 posts)It's certainly not MSNBC and if it's CNN, you seem to have missed several other panelists refuting the speaker you object to. It sounds like you are looking for pure left. Try Free Speech TV. I believe you can watch it online.

(15,124 posts)link to a series of videos, my observation is somehow tainted with leftist bias.
The AP's characterization---mentioned elsewhere in this thread---was widely reported and discussed in print, digital and cable TV media. But, I'm sure no one was watching or listening or reading, so---- my bad?
And, the suggestion that my criticism of some of the media somehow lets Trump off the hook is the same simplistic zero-sum "reasoning" we usually hear from Limbaugh and friends.
Have a better day today.
