It is absolutely imperative that the Dems not give in to trump's government shutdown tactic. Period.

If they give even one inch on this they will have decapitated themselves for the rest of trump’s time in the White House. He will be able to use this tactic again and again.

There is a declared policy of the United States that we do not negotiate with hostage takers, ever.

All of the polls show that trump’s support on this is in the 30 to 40% range. These are the same people who think he should be able to shoot someone in Times Square and get away with it. Anything he does will find approval amoungst this group.

Trump created this mess of his own volition. There was no reason to do this other than his talent for braggadocio and self aggrandizement. He spoke without realizing what he would set loose, which is common with him. Act in haste, repent in leisure. He crowed proudly that he would own the shutdown, the Dems must allow him to do so.

This is the most unscrupulous, ineffectual, ruinous President we have ever had. He cannot be allowed to claim some sort of victory out of this mess he has created. Hoist by his own petard, let him swing.

I'm angry with the media for their "both sides" nonsense.

The Democratic House passed a bill to reopen the government and address border security. The Republican Senate approved that same bill right before the holidays, but now the Senate refuses to bring it up for a vote again!

Why isn't the media telling this?

With the wall funding, a complete rescind of the tax scam bill, and AOC’s 70% plan. We’ll see how serious about the wall and compromise they are then. Not a fucking chance in hell that clears the Senate or drumpf since it will hit the 1%.
