Opinion: Donald Trump is NOT amoral.

Read this definition and you be the judge.

https://grammarist.com/usage/amoral-immoral/

Amoral vs. immoral
The adjective immoral means contrary to established moral principles. Immoral actions are corrupt, unethical, sinful, or just wrong. Amoral means (1) neither moral nor immoral, or (2) lacking moral sensibility. So while immoral and amoral might share a little common ground, there is a clear distinction: immoral things are bad, and amoral things are either neutral from a moral perspective or simply removed from moral considerations.

If a person ignores these positions, and behaves contrary to them, that person might be called a criminal, or a sociopath.

In my view, Trump is a criminal and a sociopath.

are giving him a pass by applying a morally neutral label to him. They need to show some courage by stating the obvious, which is that his motives and actions are malevolent.

The US corporate media created the fiction of Trump the success, and now they maintain the fiction that there are 2 sides to the problem of Trump.

He totally lacks moral sensibility, any sign of a moral compass and only mouths the word of 'right' or 'wrong'. He doesn't do 'moral considerations'; he wants what he wants when he wants it and that's all that is important to him, the center of his universe.

Granted that, I take your point.

his actions are right or wrong. He is not neutral. He does not believe in right versus wrong or immoral versus moral. HE DOESN'T CARE! Those concepts are not relevant to his world. The only considerations governing his actions are "Will it benefit me?" and "Can I get away with it?"

An immoral person recognizes right and wrong and chooses to do wrong. An amoral person never ponders "right" or "wrong" because he doesn't believe in the concepts. He does as he pleases, period.

It's very likely that he's among the roughly 1 out of 30 or more who do not have a conscience, for instance, or perhaps only a vestigial one that warns him of danger but without ability to feel guilt. He not only doesn't believe in right versus wrong but is almost certainly incapable of feeling what is right and wrong. He lacks the capability to understand and care about moral issues.

“I could shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters”.

In my opinion, this statement would be meaningless if he didn’t know that shooting someone for any reason other than self-defense was wrong.

How does this guy trip through life, one failure to the next? The trail of bankruptcy and corruption is nauseating. We know how it ends this time.... just like before. In ruin. At the hands of an idiot.
