He is known for correcting his interpreters even. He converses in English and German, but uses translators for negotiations.

it’s not great that’s why he prefers interperers if it’s gonna be televised. He speaks german with native fluency though and had long speeches in german on live tv. He spent years in Germany as kgb agent. But he can definately communicate what he needs in english. I am sure it wasn’t some long conversation, most likely putin gave trump very specific orders. Putin is highly skilled and intelligent which makes him quite dangerous. He has very profound understanding of the world but he is fundementally corrupt with no way out and he would only support other corrput leaders who can be compromised and manipulated. But even putin grossly understimated the stupidity of american people. Anyway there are clips of putin speaking english on tv. google it on youtube, e.g.

And trump is definately accustomed to this type of accent from Ivana to Melania.
