A simple thought: If there wasn't any substance to all this about Trump being an asset to

Putin and Russia, that is: no substance at all, then why would all of us be reading about this now? There must be something there, or the FBI would have killed the investigation. So, It stands to reason that if there was nothing there, the investigation would have been stopped months ago or maybe last year By deduction, there must be something there. And it is likely to be extremely significant and important. Also, if there was nothing there, by now we would found out through the media and a number of sources that ..."The FBI did an extensive investigation into Trump, and found nothing."

1. I think many of us knew there was a big steaming heap of something right from 9 PM election night.

Nothing I've seen unfold the past two years is really a surprise to me....the surprise is that there has seemed to be no antidote (until now), but that seems to be finally changing (one hopes!)

And apparently our intel agencies ARE on track to something. And the trum fans can't say there's no evidence of collusion, these are very serious investigations.. This is the tip of the iceberg.

But, many believe that could tear the country apart...the reason Russia supported his candidacy to begin with.

4. And who leaked it? Not Mueller's team--

The story is pre-Mueller... when the investigation was with the FBI.

This indicates that someone in the FBI leaked it. Why?
1) There's now a Dem house that will conduct hearings, and this could give some direction.
2) They are impatient with Mueller and worried this might not get out if it's decided that Trump can't be indicted.

So they might be trying to get this out while they can.

And there's no reason to do that if it's not true.

And Trump, being president, could probably respond with evidence this investigation never happened... but he can't, because it did.

7. Here is a simple thought I have been having.

I think the bar is being raised too high. At this rate collusion is going to look like jaywalking.

If we find out that there has been any “proof” that Trump is a Russian asset, with that term being used in one of its most nefarious forms, and the FBI or congress are aware of this “proof”; we are broken.

That is what makes me think Mueller has nothing that shows Trump is making his decisions on items that impact Russia in a manner that is direct payback or by way of direct instruction. That is information that no one or organization has the right to hold.

It might be there, but they haven’t found it yet. What we know is enough to impeach him IMO and most here, but Senate and majority of voters don’t seem to care. Majority being his white wing supporters, people who just aren’t that interested in politics, people profiting off him, etc.

..Trump knew that the question was going to be asked, so he had his answer ready. And he knew exactly what he was going to say, without hesitation. Trump does not answer it, instead he calls it an "insulting question" and then he changes the subject. Ask Russia he says. He ducked the question, because he did not want to go into that subject. . He also says, "If you read the article, you find that they found absolutely nothing." Which is not true.

The interview was staged to protect Trump and give him a chance to defend himself. And then, Trump attacks the New York Times for being a terrible newspaper. He never says, I am not a Russian agent, and never have been. In my opinion, it is that simple.
