Why are tv pundits assuming counterintelligence investigation of Trump has ended?

MTP yesterday, and CNN this morning are making the assumption that it has.

We know that Mueller took over the evidence already collected, and as far as we know, evidence is still being collected.

It may account for why so many Americans seem so oblivious about Trump, even if they don't watch Fox. Newspapers and online media have been much farther ahead on this story.

interest in pushing the narrative that Mueller is almost done. One thing they don't have is leaks from Mueller's shop.
