2. I thought the Democratic Senators bombed.

There was no one who filled Al Franken's shoes. The closest one was Mazie Hirono. She at least asked specific questions.

So what have we found out? Barr isn't going to release Mueller's report to the public, he will write his own summary.

If the Ethics people request that Barr recuse himself from the Mueller investigation, he will not obey that request, he will not recuse.

I'm just upset at the poor performance by the Democrats. They only asked general questions, no specifics.

Sorry, but the final statement by Barr was that we have to trust him, sorry but I don't.

Miss you Al.

And kills puppies for a hobby.

And the republicans will still confirm him.

I mean that the Republicans will return to valuing the rule of law only when Democrats are back in charge.

8. I watched part of the Barr hearing confirmation.

He hit most of the right notes, had the right tone, gave the right answers. He will be confirmed, with some Democrats voting to confirm. Barr remained definite that he thinks Mueller should finish the investigation and that it is unlikely that Mueller would conduct a so-called witch hunt.

I didn't watch the whole hearing, because in between all those answers are other questions that should have been asked. Maybe they were.

He did refuse to say that he would recuse himself if such and such happened, because that's a hypothetical. But he didn't rule it out. Which means nothing.

He gave an appearance of being reasonable, acted with decorum, and the like. He made a good appearance in other words.

It doesn't matter, though, since he'll be confirmed. No matter who Trump chose, he (and it would be a white male) would be questionable, if not outright sleazy.

11. The concern is not whether Barr will let Mueller finish.

It is whether he will approve the indictments the Grand Jury delivers.
