So hard going through the airport today. I looked into the eyes of our workers who deserve better. A TSA officer said: "Don't stop fighting. Keep it up." I broke down & felt the weight of the responsibility on me. I will never become numb to the human impact. We must end this.- Rep. Rashida TlaibFound Here: http://all-hat-no-cattle.blogspot.com/2019/01/day-25-of-government-shutdown.html

Fact is, the president of the United States has taken Americans hostage. He has denied them a paycheck and expects them to work for free. He is torturing them, and depriving them of their basic needs. He is starving them, depriving them of food, water, medicine and a roof over their head.
This is the American President.

(83,319 posts)Dangerous as she urged others to vote third party like she did. Third party advocates are not allowed here. Yes. I use to like her as well. No more.

(42,641 posts)the US basically has a 2 party system. A vote on a national level or even a statewide level for a spoiler candidate is foolish.

Florida official embraces Islamophobia, says Tlaib could Become a martyr and blow up Capitol Hill
And then the Vice Mayor took a few seconds to stop sucking her own toes long enough to say something smart, but jammed that foot right back in there in the same breath:
I'm sorry, what? Such an odd and oblivious thing to say. No one is condemning King? Credit where credit is due, there were conservatives who right away were aghast by his comments (leaving aside questions of whether that was due to them actually being appalled or just upset he said the quiet things out loud...) to say nothing of the liberal/progressive reaction. And this was before news came out that there were moves for censure and committee seat removal. Was VM Javellana aware enough King said a horrific thing, but not aware enough that people reacted rather poorly to it? Lolwut?
