Trump is not my president. Therefore, I have no reason to watch his "fake news" State of the Union

routine. As with his Oval Office farce, I will wait for the response and hope that, once again, it gets more viewers than Trump's nonsense. I care about the ratings only because that is one way I can participate in rejecting Trump in a way he will notice.

...because I don't get to make a personal choice. The nation, under the rules we apply, elected him. He IS the President and has the powers of the President. Therefore, I'll listen to what he says so I know what he might be planning.

obligated to watch or listen to that clown. Our media is sufficient to translate his nonsensical babbling and tantrums for us to chuckle over. As for Trumpy's planning, when has that EVER happened?

Listening to him for more than a few seconds is physically painful to me. He makes my brain bleed.

watches him like a train wreck or tragic sob story. "But FSogol," she'll say, "his father never loved him and his hands are really small. That's why he's a major asshole."

If I hear more than a few words from him and can't change the channel, I reach for the scotch.

I will not watch him, that's just a blanket statement. If he's on tv and the clip is more than a min. I cut to a different channel until he shuts up his ugly lying orange assmouth. I will not sit and watch him defame America and my party and praise PUtin and ugh, his lying racist rants are just too stupid and ugly to tolerate. My husband watches because he thinks he should, same as I was with Bush. However, drumpf takes lying and animosity to a new level and I won't give him the benefit of my watching him - ever. I will contribute to the stats he hates when Dems gets more viewers in their response than he does with his anti-America lies.

He was a 1%er oligarch and ruled that way but he wasn't about hurting America and helping Russia or SA or Israel.

his ratings no one would watch it, just like his whatever last week.

Everyone watched the response from Senator Schumer and Speaker Pelosi instead.

Inside the White House, some aides have discussed using their captive audience for the State of the Union to have the president admonish lawmakers for a shutdown that at that point would be on its 39th day, and to reprimand them by saying they haven’t given enough attention to what the administration views as an immigration crisis along the southern border.

The Office of Management and Budget is gearing up for the partial shutdown to continue through February, and aides have discussed using Trump's Jan. 29 State of the Union address to admonish Democrats over their opposition to the wall.
