Republicans have forfeited and resigned their obligation to govern. Senate republicans have

aligned themselves with Russian oligarchs and criminal elements of organized crime.

How this once proud party, who mistakenly but pantingly claim Lincoln as its icon, has managed to debase itself so completely is just astonishing. I’ve never been a Republican nor would I ever vote for, at least not since Reagan. But I never thought of republicans as criminals whose allegiance to country is suspect.

Well after what has been going on in Washington I guess we all have a new base, or debased, line to refer to ow in reference to republicans. I don’t think any currently serving Republican politician can pass a background investigation that would allow them access to classified information.
