I would make sure Trump is on record publicly capitulating to the original deal struck in Dec. Trump made this mess and I'd make him clean it up.

My guess is they are trying to find a way to open the government and save (orange) face for The Donald. They all know that this is really bad for them but IQ45 has dug in his heels and won't budge.

9. Giving McConnell permission to allow the Senate to vote?
Thu Jan 17, 2019, 08:18 PM
Jan 2019

Remember, the Senate passed a government re-open bill that just before the end of the year that the House has passed since the beginning of the year. The Senate vote was unanimous or nearly unanimous (that is to say, veto-proof). McConnell has refused to allow a vote on that bill so far this year.

Maybe the two stooges are giving McConnell permission to allow the Senate to vote on the reopen government bill and send it to McDonald. McDonald vetoes it, the House and the Senate override the veto, and everyone claims victory. Congress because it got the country moving again, McDonald because he got to use his big novelty veto pen, and the media all join hands and sing Kum Bah Yah while reminiscing about TipandRonnie.

Is that if anyone knows how little he needs anyone's 'permission' to put a bill in the Senate Floor, it damnsure is Mitch Fucking McConnell.

I think this 'negotiation' (and shutdown) is Yertles way of telling the WH that he can fuck with them just as easily as they can fuck with him, and he therefore is not going to be blackmail-able---and now they know how much power he can hold over them AS HE CHOOSES.

Because the House can impeach as they please, but NOW they know, that ONLY MCCONNELL can keep Don from being convicted, and he's not to be Fucked With.

... making plans to cover their asses when they pull the rug out from under Trump's and let him flounder. "Ok, Mitch ... if we impeach where do we go from here?" kind of stuff. Kushner is only loyal to a point (IMHO), and Pence is picturing himself in the Oval Office. Time to compare stories and set things in motion while still trying to look good to their base.

He is a threat to us and others, and himself (no I take that back).

You noticed everyone is now saying he is a threat, we here at DU have been saying this for a long time.

He has shown his true colours those of us who were in harms way due to horrendous hurricanes because he doesn't fucking believe in climate change, Puerto Rico throwing paper towels???? Texas, Florida, California, oh sweep up the forest floor?? WTF. There is more despicable things he has done.

I for one won't watch this ass disgrace our country with his hate and fear mongering!

Trump wants a rally. Nothing less will do.

I look for him to hold one and go off the rails. He’s been held up in the White House for a month.

Watching his polls plummet.
