because it is a lifetime appointment, and my argument was as President she could appoint someone with the same judicial philosophy as she has, implying we essentially have both

It is much more difficult to find a progressive that possess the qualities necessary to run a Presidential campaign.

I also want her to be elevated during the primary process. She speaks well for me on issues I deeply care about. The more national exposure she gets the better we will all be.

Replace her with another Democratic Senator unlike the risk of electing/nominating a Senator from a purple state like say, Ohio.
Our next president will also need a Democratic Senate to work with her
