Democrats come out and remind these people who have such convenient memories that McConnell and the republicans REFUSED to let President Obama nominate his rightful SC justice, and the way President Obama was treated by the republicans for 8 years.

(2,690 posts)Fairness: quid pro quo applies here. S.O.B.s treated our guy (Obama) like crap and refused even to speak with Merrick Garland, so screw them.
Practical: Give in to Individual-1 on this and, obviously, without a doubt, he will use the same tactics again and again. America does not negotiate with terrorists or whiney toddlers: simple as that.

(33,331 posts)How President Obama was treated by McConnell and the GOP have nothing to do with why the wall should not be built.
The wall is stupid, destructive and a waste all on its own.

(638 posts)Think of the way the media treated Paul Ryan. It's always about finding the mythical "moderate Republican" when no conservative politician in the last 20 years have provided any tangible benefits to poor or working class people. And then they're even worse for people of color.

3. It is about trying to nullify the midterm election
If the Republicans can compel the house to pass legislation they would otherwise oppose, the election was nearly irrelevant.
