Facts are so passe now, old fashioned, etc.

Dont bother me with facts when rump promises me he will harm all people of color and all gay people, as a deplorable human being that is ALL I need to hear and know!

It doesn't mean Trump was getting 2 separate deals, just one. The first one got dropped. Then they lied about the dates of the 2nd deal to make it look like he wasn't pursuing it during his campaign and after he was elected. Trump believed he would lose the election, so this was his deal to fall back on after 2016.
