Has Trump now entered a death spiral of bad polls and self-inflicted negative media stories?

I don't see how he can come back from this. What he has done to this country will take decades to put right, but increasingly the consequences are already being felt and more and more people are waking up to it.

Seriously, I have a conservative friend (he's a very good person overall) who described this debacle as Americans' chance to examine their relationship with government.
