I like all the candidates, and its early, but I bet Klobuchar and Brown DO run as both are thinking very strongly about it.
With these two we have two midwesterners who have broad appeal. We need fresh faces in presidential politics.
We need to win in the heartland. It would be very risky to nominate an east or west coaster. Brown just won re-election comfortably in Ohio that is otherwise majority Republican right now. And he bridges social liberals with working class economic populists. His main message is all about working people, the kind of strong populist economic message that we need. And I really like Klobuchar. I put Brown at the top of the ticket because of the strong and clear working/middle class economic message and being from Ohio which is such strategic ground whereas MN is more likely already in the D column. But if we can take OH, Trump and R's are TOAST.

I think we need at least one of the ticket from the Midwest - those are the people we have to speak to. Harris/Brown or Harris/Klobuchar would be good too. And why NOT both women? No one ever said a thing about 2 men on the ticket!
Please, not Sherrod Brown. The Governor of Ohio is republican, and hell appoint a Republican to replace Sherrod. We need him in the Senate.

That said... I'll support a Brown Presidential Ticket....Ohio needs to have the Democrats mobilize and make the political change...not stiff Sherrod Brown for it.

(17,857 posts)This ticket seems to ignore our most loyal voting block - African Americans. I would pair Klobuchar with Booker or Gillum if he is vindicated. I would pair Brown with Harris. I remember the empty voting booths in Philadelphia on election night. Needless to say I would happily vote for ticket, and I am caucusing for Klobuchar who I picked out as my top choice the day after the 2016 election. I am a middle aged white resident of Iowa who was a Republican until George 2 invasion of Iraq.

(13,340 posts)1) we cannot give up a Democrat Senate Seat in Ohio.
2) His views on trade a firmly rooted in unrealistic 20th century thought. He supported Trumps tariff gambit.
