Watching Stone out there claiming how innocent he is makes me laugh.
I am sure there are other crimes Stone committed that he hasn't been charged with, or may not be charged with, but what he OBVIOUSLY DID is enough to put him away for a long, long time. And if Roger isn't cooperating FULLY, a book the size or Jersey will be thrown at him. Rightfully so.
Justice = locking up criminals like Roger Stone, and not just the poor or minorities.

(1,178 posts)I think he'll go to prison and bank on a pardon, than rat out Trump. He'd live longer in prison, rather than rat-out Trump. He'll get deep-sixed otherwise.

(10,110 posts)Mueller has more. That Mueller could have laid out the framework for a conspiracy charge but did not want to do it until the others are indicted. I'd post the link but don't have time to search through everything I read. Might have been the Daily Beast article.
I previously laid some of it out here:

As Manafort found out the hard way, just because one is indicted, that doesn't mean more charges can't follow.
Stone is counting on a pardon and it's meaningful for him because I'm not aware of any state level charges they can pin on him at this point. If SDNY comes up with some stiff state charges on him that are solid, he'll probably quickly start singing another tune.

(14,784 posts)he is in danger of meeting an abrupt end. He was involved in an espionage conspiracy against the US -- the indictment document formally calls the Russian intelligence agents' indictments a related case.
Trump's own hand-picked intelligence chiefs and multiple Senators (including GOP ones) publicly named Wikileaks a Russian asset/agent. Stone publicly touted his connections to Wikileaks. Imagine the volume of additional evidence that is not public yet.
Nobody should assume that the current charges against him are the only ones he could or will face. And the consequence of those additional charges could be quite grim.

(62,346 posts)compelled to testify without immunity?
If he then lies can he be charged with new crimes for obstruction and end up in jail anyway?
I am no lawyer and am a bit confused by the pardon / immunity situation.
Thanks in advance.
Something nags at me that if there weren't huge possible repercussions, Trump would be handing out prions like trick-or-treat candy.

(11,882 posts)And he will end up in prison until he dies. HE has no idea what all they already have on him and others, and he'll be like Manafort and regret his huge mistake if he refuses to tell it all to Mueller. . Trump is also going to be a co-conspirator with everyone involved, so pardons with only make it worse for him,, and more obstruction and other charges.
