Kamala Harris was asked if a woman can beat Trump in 2020. Her answer is both inspiring and honest

At the town hall in Des Moines, among other things, she was (basically) asked if she thinks itís possible for a woman to beat Donald Trump in 2020.

Hereís the question, asked by playwright and composer Robert John Ford:

"Some have also said that, given what occurred in 2016 and the current political climate, that a male nominee will have a better chance this time around than a female nominee. Would you please respond to this so that this man has a response ready the next time a man tries to mansplain why a man would make a better nominee?"

Her answer covered some solid ground, first looping back to when she ran for district attorney in San Fransisco (and later attorney general of California), and how she responded to doubters then:

ďIíve heard people say when I ran, and ran as the first woman who would win, ĎPeople arenít ready. Itís not your time. Nobody like you has done that before,í. I havenít listened and I would suggest that nobody should listen to that kind of conversation.Ē

3. Of course a woman can beat

Trump in 2020. Is Kamala Harris that woman? I am not sure. I am not a fan of her stance on prisons, sentencing, among other things.

9. It has to be better than the Dotard's

It is at least based on experience in the field.

Oddly the Dotard is so fixated on immigrants that he doesn't mention crime in general or of citizens; but you can bet his stance on those issues is right wing and horrid; well, except for himself, since prison and sentencing ought to be part of his life.

4. Man or woman, it does not matter. What matters is who is best for the job, PERIOD.

6. Hillary was the best, but it wasn't enough

I hate to say it, but winning the top prize takes more than having the coolest resume.
After what happened in 2016 our eyes are open now, and we're all looking forward.

7. Hillary was sabotaged.

She had just enough "history" for the bots to sow doubt and provide cover for the steal. We should not look to this as a model for future elections, unless we let the voting structure to continue to be compromised.

5. Without some shenanigans and a last minute sledgehammer from Comey, a woman already has.

12. A reminder ... one beat him by 30 million votes in the LAST election. ...

The probability of something that has already happened is 100%.
