1. That headline is pretty misleading -- the operator did *not* "say she could shoot"

For what it's worth, before the lock.... Oklahoma has a very strong Stand Your Ground statute and there have been cases were 911 operators have given permission to shoot intruders in Oklahoma before. "County is advising that you can defend your property if you need to" was the quote in that case, after the caller informed the 911 dispatcher that she had a shotgun.
