Adam Schiff Blows Up Trump's Plan To Hide The Mueller Report

Adam Schiff Blows Up Trump’s Plan To Hide The Mueller Report

Trump’s plan to hide the Mueller report was blown up by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) who is threatening to subpoena the special counsel report if Trump refuses to release it.

Schiff said, “This is too big to be buried. This is of too great a consequence to the country to be swept under the rug. And so we will use whatever compulsion we can and must to make sure that the public gets the full story. ”

Adam Schiff isn’t going to let Trump hide the details of his potential crimes

It has become increasingly obvious through Trump’s public comments that he is intending on burying the Mueller report. Once Trump realized that he couldn’t fire Mueller without being impeached, his next move appears to be letting Mueller finish his report and then doing everything he can to stop the report from seeing the light of day.

Adam Schiff isn’t playing games with the president. If Trump tries to bury the report, Schiff will subpoena it, which he has full power to do as the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Trump is playing games and hoping that he can prevent the public from ever seeing what Robert Mueller has found, but Democrats already have a strategy in place and are ten steps ahead of any move that the president could make to hide the Mueller report.

The media has pushed the narrative that Mueller is almost done and will finish with a report.

IMHO, Mueller has 6+ months of work left to do, with the next big milestones being high level indictments of Trump Jr., Kushner, etc. That will be very public and can't be hidden.

I'm grateful Schiff is prepared for the worst, but I think the media has this all wrong.

The jury extension was for 6 months, a bit less than a month ago. That's the minimum. It's also the maximum. It's just how long grand jury's in that jurisdiction are extended.

Even if you just need it for a week, you get 6 months. Even if you only think you'll need it for a few weeks, you apply--and if you don't need it, there's no harm done. It only meets when the prosecutor has information that he thinks can get a subpoena or true bill out of them.

that Mueller was close to wrapping up, or will be wrapping up within a few months - CBS, ABC, CNN, etc. None of them have proven to be true. I doubt the NBC report is true, either. And, remember, it was almost a year ago that Rudy G came aboard and said that he would get Mueller to wrap it up within a few weeks.

First up, we have Roger Stone and whether or not he will flip - remember, the Manafort flipping negotiations went on for weeks. Then, he agreed to cooperate, even though he did not. He was an obstructing/tampering witness for at least a few months until Mueller got fed up and threw the book at him.

Do we then have Jerome Corsi and Randy Credico involved? Do they get charged? Do they flip?

How about people like Mike Pence, Jeff Sessions, Wilbur Ross and Steve Bannon? How about Ivanka?

Does Erik Prince get charged? Does he flip?

Any other Russians? How about Saudis or Israelis?

I think we have a ways to go.

He has said this previously too. I believe we will be able to see it if they are able to do so legally but it may end up going to the Supreme Court. Could they stop it? The facts need to come out for the public to turn against the moron and pressure the GOP Senate into impeachment.

limbaugh is still in total denial mode and has set the base up with regular 'deep state' crap since inauguration

if democrats are going to keep ignoring talk radio that's going to enable a lot of cover up and denial by republican politicians, judges, and tools in all departments.

the only way americans get this may be if it gets leaked and then the cons will say it's not legiitimate.

by the time this all gets sorted out we'll be way past 2020

it's not about demand - that's a rw talking point. clearchannel/iheart is 20 bil in debt

it's a 20 -1 monopoly and those radio stations are the loudest AM signals in the country. in most parts of the us there are no free easy alternatives for politics and those are often the only clear signal for weather, sports, news, emergency, traffic, etc while driving, working, doing chores.

they dominate 40+ states with 80 senators.

and there is a huge secondary and tertiary reach into people who are too busy or apathetic to do any research

ignoring talk radio has been the biggest political mistake in history - why we are in this disaster and unless democrats stop ignoring it they're going to keep those 1500 stations lying all day long to 50 mil a week

but he doesn't listen to good advice when it involves him not getting what he wants... He seems to prefer to listen to the yes-men and sycophants who tell him things he already believe, or go along with him, but don't know how anything works. For an example, look at his first Muslim travel ban -- drawn up without the normal process, and it was a legal/constitutional mess which ended up getting tossed out by the courts. Why? Because the people who wrote it didn't know what they were doing, and just wanted to appease Trump.

Maybe he's learned a little bit, but at minimum I think he will continue to do things which technically he can do but which make things worse for himself -- like firing Comey (he thought it would "take the pressure off" re Russia but instead he got a Mueller-led Special Counsel investigation).

Have heard many analysts describe the minute details Mueller has included in the court papers that are being filed.

Whether it's in the paperwork to obtain information or to backup the reason for making a particular bargain with a target, we are seeing the evidence of crimes detailed in black and white for all to see.

By the time he's done, the only things not in public records will be the physical tapes, hard drives, photos, and documents used to create what will be the final report.

Except for redactions that the courts have agreed to, we will have a serialized report that leaves no shadows for the Trump crime family to hide in.

Does the House have this power? They won't be able to pass it into law because Bitch McConnell & the Senate wouldn't sign off on it.

Kind of absurd if this isn't made public, given that Bill Clinton's testimony was broadcast on national tv and the full Starr Report was in bookstores immediately afterward.
