RW talk radio, evangelical Christian stations, cable networks, etc.

Conservatives have a long habit of pouring money into media that supports them, liberals and centrists don't. And the C's are already used to feeling under siege... they've nursed that bitterness for decades.

They won't just collapse. They need to be politically torn apart. Find wedges and hammer them, dig up their dirty secrets and figure out how to best use them for maximum effect.

It ain't nice, but they haven't been nice for decades, and wishing they were has given them the space to get ever worse.

DVR every night to watch during morning coffee along with Colbert. Just watch the show beginnings unless there is a guest I want to see (rarely,)

A good way to start the day before dipping into the latest crap headlines.

and start up a real progressive cable news network to compete with the 3 right wing cable news networks we have now. It would blow Fox, CNN, and MSNBC out of the water.

1 Repug channel - Faux
1 sometimes liberal channel - MSNBC

If Bezos bought Faux and Murdoch started Faux #2, we'd still be way ahead and 2 to 1.

Not that Bezos is going to do any such thing, but he's smart enough to add a 10 year no-compete clause.

They're losing them faster than they can corrupt new ones. No good businessman would take it on now. Why do you think Clear Channel was bought by Bain Capital? For the purpose of looting it until it dies in massive debt. It isn't worth the sum of its parts now.

The super wealthy funders of the whole right wing propaganda system won't let it be taken apart, unfortunately, since they've worked so hard to get it to where they are now. I wish we could break it up, but think it'll take a lot more than Bezos to even begin to get a handle on the issue.

Documentaries, congressional testimony, academic research on history and impact on society, blue-ribbon commission, indictments, new laws, an end to Citizens United, major organizing, mass protests…wish we had the luxury of focusing on the issue of systemic propaganda and the ways consent is manufactured in the U.S.

In a perfect world, the Mueller investigation would reveal a lot of the threads.

That would be expensive, even for Bezos. I'm guessing, just a guess, that Fox News could go for maybe $50 Billion? $40 Billion? More?

Bezos is worth maybe $112B, I read. But much of that would be assets that are not cash. And that's not profit from income less expenses.
