"Miss June" of Romper Room died, age 87.

Rest In Peace, lady. Youíre probably the one to blame for my rose colored view of the world, built at age 4 or 5. I barely remember the name but I know I loved you, once upon my precious time. Iím sure that your lessons are ingrained so deep they became invisible like the air I breathe.

4. Do be a "Do Bee." ... don't be a "Don't Bee."

RIP, Miss June.

5. I loved that show!

I do not remember who my "Miss" was but my mother cousin was a Miss Barbara in Florida, probably Orlando.

I too think a lot of my thinking came from those early shows, not from my parents but those shows. Captain Kangaroo was another.

RIP Miss June. You helped a lot of confused and scared children develop into good citizens.
