Trump boasts of bigger El Paso crowd than Beto rally held at same time

President Trump on Monday boasted that his El Paso campaign rally drew far more people than the one former Rep. Beto O-Rourke (D-Texas) headlined across town, claiming that he had more than "35,000 people" attending.

The El Paso County Coliseum seats about 11,000 people, according to NBC News.
Trump said earlier in the evening that about 10,000 people were inside ...

Trump also later claimed that ... Beto O’Rourke ... had a wonderful rally of about 15 people,".

Bloomberg News reported that O'Rourke's rally drew between 10,000 and 15,000 people.

(Seems O’Rourke’s is bigger than Trump’s)

El Paso Fire Department just told us that Trump's statement about them allowing 10,000 people inside is incorrect.
Spokesman says coliseum holds 6,500 and that is how many were allowed in building.

FACT CHECK: El Paso Fire Department confirms @realDonaldTrump lied about his crowd size -- only 6,500 attended his embarrassing rally.

Meanwhile, estimates say up to 15,000 turned out for Beto.

Like it or not, there were likely several thousand outside that couldn't get in once the building hit capacity. There usually is at his indoor rallies.
