Yuma Arizona border

My wife and I are staying near Yuma and thought we'd walk into Los Algodones for the afternoon. We heard that people go there for dental work and prescriptions. And is that ever true, I couldn't count all of the clinics. The meds are right there too. I spoke with one guy that said it was cheaper for him to fly from Wisconsin and have a root canal done in Mexico rather than have it done in Wisconsin. Unbelievable.
My other observation was that we walked right into Mexico. No one asked who we were, how long are you staying. Just walked on in. Getting back was totally different. The line was over 1/4 mile. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get back. There were 3 officers checking passports. I haven't heard anything about the white hoards crossing the border every afternoon
Lol. Anyway we had a good time and made it back w/o a problem just sore feet from waiting.
Have a great Valentine's day.

That a US citizen shouldn't have to travel out of the country for affordable dental/healthcare. I hope that dental care will be added to any health legislation that passes. My .02

alternative especially for dental care and, consequently, relatively flooded by Americans daily. It was a nice place. Had some good meals and good beers there -- no dental work though.

I've been fantasizing for some time now about this.

Wouldn't it be great if Mexico just turned the tables on us? Wouldn't it be great if they called out their army to confront the caravans invading their country from the north everyday? Imagine the outcry that would be generated, especially by those making up the daily caravans.

Why would they do that? The US citizens are just coming down for a short period to spend money, it would hurt the Mexican economy along the border.

My Uncle would drive down from Idaho for dental work so I started doing it. Half the cost of a crown done at the dental school in San Francisco. $2 to park on the reservation (US side) and I would use the receipt to get breakfast at the Casino. Lots of eye glasses shops too.
