(34,106 posts)She is amazing with people and I love the way she touches people, she really holds their hands and looks in their eyes. Many others do these things but just watching her, she seems to really enjoy it and she seeks it out.
I guess the best way to put it is that she seems genuine. I have not seen her ever look like she is putting on an act. I am a pretty good judge of people and she impresses me as genuinely caring about all people and I rarely feel that way about politicians.

(34,106 posts)I guess I had not thought about that but he was always looking totally comfortable with people. I think people appreciate that, I know I do. I like her, I have not spent enough time yet delving in to what each candidate stands for except for what I have heard. I do like her, I hope I love what all she stands for. At this point I just do not know enough except that emotionally she fills the bill for me and she is exactly who I would love to see in the White House. I just have to get into the gritty details.

(15,536 posts)I think it's more important to people to feel a real connection to their president first and foremost. Someone like her or Barack makes you feel like they truly do care about people and their lives. Never underestimate the value and importance of that. True sincerity cannot be faked.
I would vote for her in a heartbeat if she's our candidate.

(34,106 posts)They have to have policies that are good for us, true Democratic ideals. I have many criteria, others less and others more. We all have our reasons.
I do like to have my candidate be likable and truly seem to like being among the people but I will never vote for just that. I do think we get a lot of votes for just that, people who don't care as long as they are a D or people who have no interest in politics but will still vote. It is important that way too that they feel comfortable and show it while in among all the masses.
I have sadly voted for a lot of people I do not like or think are remotely concerned with the regular people. We get what we choose together.

(4,921 posts)One is actually a member of a culture and the other seemed to by trying to act like she was.
But, yeah, that will never land with some people.

The heart and soul of BBQ is the whole hog. We don't say CUT-CHOP-COOK for nothing. Cut the wood, chop it up, and slow-smoke our hogs all night long. Like all good things that take all night, this BBQ will leave you moaning.

Makes me want to bust out the grill (but would have to clear the ice off of the cover first)!

(16,858 posts)BBQ is my fave and she definitely chose a regenional legend!
Aside from the food, I love how relaxed and natural she seems in her interactions. As others have pointed out, very Obama-esque. This just makes me like her even more!
