"It's A Mad, Mad, Mad Mad Wrld" 8 pm on TCM What a cast. The bit parts are at least as interesting.

Many that are listed as bit players had long careers. Saw this in our one screen theater as a kid. Best popcorn in town.

1. I have the DVD, and it is slapstick but

amazing collection of well known comedians and it is great fun to watch.

2. This was one of only two movies I ever saw at a drive in

I saw it as a kid with my extended family somewhere in New Jersey, parents, aunt, uncle and cousins. I only remember the very beginning, think I fell asleep. Thanks for the heads up!

3. Recently saw it on Amazon prime video. The video quality was outstanding!

I've seen it several times over the years on broadcast TV.

The Amazon streaming version was impressively high-def.

The movie is outrageously funny.

11. I think only one of those palms still stands today at the estate where that scene was filmed.

I stand corrected. Nothing is left except stumps according to this (starts at about 8:00)

16. There is a tribute Big W at a course in Hawaii

I see it January every year during a PGA tour stop. Inspired by the movie:

8. Never cared for it...

It has a great cast, but few had a chance to express their unique comic styles.

10. We have dinner and a movie at my B-I-L's almost every month.....this was our pick for

Thanksgiving, November month. Loved it as a kid cried harder as an adult watching it this past Thanksgiving.

14. There are several versions of this classic...

some are MUCH longer.

Saw it on a big screen a few months ago, and it is still one of the funniest collection of fast-paced bits you can imagine. There's a LOT going on in the background, and a lot of the really big-name cameo cast is not even credited.

15. One of my favorites

Great to see it earn a mention

I love extremely over the top humor or extremely subtle. The midrange sitcom-type humor does nothing for me.

18. one of the greatest comedy movies of all time

the big dub-a-yah, I tell ya!

Ethel Merman, Terry Thomas, Jonathan Winters, Buddy Hackett, Sid Caesar, the 3 Stooges, Spencer Tracy... and even Jack Benny. The list goes on and on. There was never a greater collection of comedic talent before or since.
