I have a lot of republican neighbors, and this was a nice way to wave the flag while making a point.

(15,642 posts)have been for at least a year if not longer. Portland OR is so damn cool.
Im originally from MA and always felt proud and maybe a bit smug about my liberal roots. But living in Oregon and spending time in Portland has cured me of that. The left coast is real for sure.

(9,524 posts)(Nasty Women Get Shit Done Portland):
We based the In Our America graphic on a design that local artist Jason Maxfield created and we collaborated with graphic designer Sean Donnell to produce the modified United States of America flag design.
In doing so, we created a flag worthy of the definition of patriotism (love for or devotion to ones country).
The "In Our America" flag includes and upholds the rights of all people, along with the preservation of our planet.
The "In Our America" flag, which has now been distributed across the country on tens of thousands of yard signs, stickers, and posters is sold locally in the Portland area and online.
Proceeds from the sales of In Our America merchandise are donated to local organizations that support the values on the flag.

(9,524 posts)posted it again. There are so many of these in Portland that I didn't even think about that not being the case in other parts of the country. You don't think about it once it becomes part of the landscape. So good on you!

I wanted to go up to his parents and embrace them. But I didn't, obviously.
I just silently sent vibes in their direction to keep raising their kid the right way.

(5,555 posts)The idea of road signs is to quickly convey a.message or support to someone driving past. No one can read that while in motion, the small text is also a problem.
Would be a great bill board at a red light

(15,536 posts)As someone who used to live and work in Charlotte up until the early '90's, I kept getting the impression that they were going backwards, but now I am so glad to hear you say that these signs are all over Charlotte. I almost moved back there when I retired a year ago.
