Didnt bernie vote against russian sanctions

Why I Voted Against The Sactions Bill

While I support sanctions on Russia and North Korea, I voted against the sanctions bill last week because it contains sanctions on Iran that I believe could endanger the Iran nuclear agreement. This agreement was President Obama’s most important foreign policy achievement, and President Trump has made clear his intention to destroy it. Progressives must get mobilized to protect it, just as we did with the Affordable Care Act!

Just like this time, his reason there backfired as well.

Bernie claimed that his “nay” vote was to protect the Iran nuclear deal...And how’d that work out?

As for the more recent Russia sanctions vote, Bernie was a no-show. Priorities.

5. That is what politicians do they muddy up bills with addons. It depends on what the addons are.

The bill to reopen the government was opposed by some because it added funding for Homeland security including ICE. Sanders voted for the bill, as most of the Democrats because they probably viewed reopening the government a more immediate concern. There were a few other Democrats who voted against that bill. For different reasons, the Freedom Party voted against that bill because they wanted full funding for that stupid wall.

The point you are making is very good though, and that is knowing the full context of something is important.
