Akin has shut down his email............

I went to Akin's website, went to his contact link, wrote a blistering email and then found it couldn't be deliered. I think his mail must have been overrun by critics and they shut it down.

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at www.akin.org.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Didn't want the forcible email replicating on the server. That's how it works right?

We made contact with him on YT where he talked to people from a library computer. Those of who knew people with seizures took him on as a cause a few years ago.

He was homeless and in the past had been diagnosed with brain lesions at a university hospital and was ending up frequently in ER's from seizures. They wanted to do brain surgery but it was going to drastic, taking out a big piece of the brain and he'd be helpless so he had to have a reliable place to recoverd. He didn't have family and was on a waiting list for a place to live.

This was about the time that MM's movie Sicko came out. My EU friends were freaked out when they saw that, not realizing the sorry state of healthcare for some people in the USA. They were very emotional and shocked by it. They simply didn't know that a country that has a reputation for being so wealthy could leave so many to shift for themselves. It was also the time that a hospital in CA was caught dumping indigent, barely stable people out, as I've seen clailms of happening in other cities. I think that got national attention and was stopped. This was long before the ACA became a reality.

We googled and tried to email his representative and could not get them to respond because those of us in the USA had zip codes that were bounced back. Of course the EU attempts did no good, either.

He was a bit afraid of giving out all of his information to us, but eventually we got in touch by phone with some groups in CA and he got into a group that would take him for long-term care and he got the surgery.

We didn't hear much from him for a while as he wasn't able to get online but eventually got plugged into services and got a roommate and a friend with a computer at their home so that was better.

But they will definitely not take out of district emails. So the email Tx4Obama gave should allow people to talk to Akin. Whether he will be willing to learn anything, I don't know. We should be careful though as anything we send him that is red hot will be passed along as 'liberal' hate mail. I'm sure our members can make the case, tho'.

I've learned to put in fake addresses when I need to. See below link, which is what I used to try & send him email.
