(33,424 posts)1. The form they are using this year is incredibly simple.
Unless you own a business or something you can fill it out in 5 minutes max. No one needs a professional for that.

I don't think it's all that simple to do "by hand".

Although it seems it might be easier this year as the 1040 form is shorter, there are schedules to add which add to the paperwork.

Have done so since 2007.
