Caroline Kennedy 'pressuring cousin Maria Shriver NOT to get back with Arnold Schwarzenegger'

'Don't do it, don't be a fool!' Caroline Kennedy 'pressuring cousin Maria Shriver NOT to get back with Arnold Schwarzenegger'

Maria Shriver can add another factor to weigh when deciding whether or not to go through with the divorce from her cheating husband: the Kennedy clan.

Maria’s cousin Caroline Kennedy is reportedly determined to convince her to keep the philandering Arnold Schwarzenegger away, even though the pair were spotted wearing their wedding rings this week for the first time since news broke that Arnold fathered a child with the family’s housekeeper.

Amid speculation that pleas from her children and her devotion to her Catholic faith have her reconsidering the divorce, The National Enquirer says that Caroline Kennedy is being very vocal in her push for the divorce to happen.

‘Caroline has been Maria’s harshest critic, saying, “Don’t do it, Maria. Don’t be a fool. Once a cheater, always a cheater”,’ a Kennedy source told the magazine.

4. Apparently, Carolyn is the one Kennedy to have found a faithful husband--at least as much as we can

know.... I think she might just be the one with common sense..

That said, I imagine it must be very difficult to ignore the please of one's kids. Much less church pressures for a devout Catholic.

6. I heard some rumors about their relationship, but no idea if there's any "there" there.

That was some years ago, during the Spitzer mess.

I'll approach the question from the perspective of a debunker by providing this link from a pro-Kennedy blog/website:

http://thekennedys.wordpress.com/2009/01/29/rumors-of-caroline-kennedy-affair-are-false/

The husband was never in the spotlight as a philanderer, but the rumor about CKS seemed to get traction around the time that CKS suddenly decided to dump the "Schlossberg" part of her last name and just started going with Kennedy, which probably didn't help the speculative process. Also, she was toying with the idea of a Senate run for Hillary's old seat, but she did an interview on that NY1 station that was, well...horrible. Awful. She looked like "an unmade bed" as my ancestors used to call anyone who looked rumpled and unkempt. Her conversational skills were ghastly--full of "Ummmmms" and "uhhhhhs" and "You knows" and "likes." It sounded like the junior high cafeteria of an underfunded suburban school system, not an Ivy League grad with an enviable pedigree. It was a good thing she abandoned that attempt--she wasn't ready for prime time. I wondered if she wasn't doing it to please Teddy, who at the time was even trying to get his wife to take his seat (that didn't go over too well, either).

Compared to Maria's "bad boy," though, Schlossberg seems pretty straight-laced and "honorable." But, who knows.

10. Complete, indeed ardent, speculation, now...

The rumors were that Schlossberg wasn't the problem--it was CKS who was tripping the light fantastic, so "they" said.

But, if you look at the link I offered upthread, "reputation managers" did a very good job of refuting/beating that suggestion into the ground, and even if it was true, there hasn't been any news or suggestions of any other liaisons since that short little spate of gossip went around.

There was some rumor of separation, too, around that time. None of that came to fruition, so if they were ever off track, it looks like that's over and done with.

while I agree with you, family can be rather...umm...how to say it...nosy and vocal? weird that it is in a news report, though.

her no matter what her decision is.

As far as anybody "straighten out the kids that their dad is an asshole". This bs is just plain wrong. The kids still need to have a relationship with their dad. Anybody talking smack to those kids about either parent needs to just shut up. Divorce is hard enough on kids, without putting them in a position of having to 'choose'.
