The same congressional Republicans who joined me in blasting Pres. Obamas executive overreach now cry out for a king to usurp legislative powers. If your faithfulness to the Constitution depends on which party controls the White House, then you are not faithful to it.

I'm not sure it's actually politically helpful to Rep @JustinAmash when I say this, but I'm going to do it anyway. Justin Amash is my favorite Republican Member of Congress. While we don't always agree, I have always found him to be principled, consistent and courageous.

(37,214 posts)1. Amash represents MI-3.
That district contains Grand Rapids and its suburbs. He knows MI is heading to the hard left. Hes tacking to the center to try to save his job. He will also be facing a redrawn district due to Prop 2.
Id love to see his polling after the GR area working families are hit hard by the GOP tax scam.

Not Republican traits.
They are consistent however, consistent liars and cheats.

European Union has vowed swift retaliation if Trump follows through on his threat and has prepared tariffs on a total of 20 billion euros in U.S. goods.

So this is their week to show America who they really are. Have they got any decency at all left in them? Americans will be watching.
