Cohen will play the tapes, 80% of the country will be outraged, and the Senate Republicans will all yawn in unison. I've given up on the dream of removing Trump from office via impeachment. The only thing keeping me going now is the idea of Trump in prison.

Faux Noise will spin it so that the waters become very murky. Stuff like, "Did he really mean what he said?" and "Wasn't he just joking?"
The ways they can gaslight it into oblivion is endless, and 40% of the country will lap it up.

But the simple truth is that even if Cohen had a video of Trump at an Epstein party with an underage girl...the Republicans still wouldn't impeach him!!!

Mueller keeps everything tight to the vest. If something massive is going to be dropped, he's going to do it himself or out of his office, not through a former Trump henchman who's on TV.

... has to be with Mueller's consent and cooperation. Don't forget that everything Cohen had got confiscated by the feds last year. So if he has documents or tapes to share with Schiff's committee, then he got them from Mueller. Needless to say there are many things that Mueller doesn't want to come out yet, so it should be interesting to see what he does allow Cohen to bring.

Another thing is that there will also be a closed hearing (no TV cameras, no press) where only people with security clearance are normally allowed. The closed hearing is where they're really going to see & hear the hot nasty stuff.

What is in the public domain is ongoing Obstruction of justice, communication and collusion by almost all campaign members with Russian elements, including Manafort, Stone, Etc, ongoing documentation of lying to the American public in an official capacity, setting forth a policy resulting in separation of hundreds if not thousands of legal asylum seeking children from their parents without means to reconnect them, being an unnamed co-conspirator in the Cohen/Daniels finance case among things that come to mind immediately.

I am of the opinion that we have one chance to do this right or the republic is lost. So I agree patience is prudent.

My point was that I don’t think tapes are going to make or break a case for impeachment. The public case really is out there for all to see when you consider the standards the Republicans used to impeach Clinton.

But truly, we haven’t seen anything... as most people who may have insider knowledge have said, this is far worse than one can even imagine.

reach others including independents. Hold pre-impeachment hearings. And if revelations are so awful that the GOP agrees to convict than go for impeachment...otherwise release a blistering report about the GOP is protecting a criminal president who threatens the Republic.

consider conviction? Hold impeachment hearings-public hearings- embarrass the shit out of Donnie …. reveal every piece of dirt we can find. At the end say if anyone ever deserved to be impeached it is Donnie but the complicit Senate has said they won't consider conviction so we have laid Trumps collusion and criminality t and hope that 2020 will serve as a form of conviction/get him out of office which the complicit senate cant can't block.
