He was still VP Gote at the time. But I got to shake his hand after I was hooded.
It was a thrill.

to be a bold president. This was 1999 and I thought he was going to be President for sure.

It sure helped having 2 governors with huge electoral votes to help along the way. And ALL that did was further make it difficult to run elections. No more paper trails, certainly benefitted the republicons, that's for sure.
Was Tipper there? Maybe she was jealous!
