Amusing? Astonishing? Totally expected?

But you KNOW that Meadows is accustomed to the "how can it be racist if" tropes. In the circles he runs in, that is the irrefutable point, the one that shuts down all further mock discussion of racism as everyone guffaws about how easy it is to prove you're not racist (especially when you really are). Then, he goes out into public, which doesn't see things qui-i-i-i-te the way Meadows does. But he trots out his irrefutable point, expecting it to be every bit as successful as it is with his buddies.

Then it isn't effective. Huh. In fact, some people have the temerity to point out the glaring hole in his irrefutable point. And they're just so MEAN about it! Meadows' friends are never like that.

I guess it is by turns amusing, astonishing, totally expected, and more than just a little sad.

So, essentially, he did exactly what Tlaib did in calling a specific action racist, except that (a) he didn't get called out for it and (b) his claim was intellectually dishonest bullshit.
